Hope you all can enjoy these small videos and see and learn a bit more about the breed´s natural instinct and behaviour.

You can teach a podengo to do almost anything you want, but what the breed really loves and are born with is the hunting instinct.

There are lots of good work with podengo breeding, mainly concerning the morphological issues and I would like to thank all the people that are doing that with excelent results, but, please, do not forget what the breed is about.

The history and soul of the breed must not be forgotten!

Podengos are in shows, in agility, in lure coursing for some years and are doing great and that is very good, but do not forget they are hunters for centuries.
The character of the breed is unique.

My Grande's reminde me on a regular basis - that they are hunters. Last weekend after a hard day of running - Hanna and Libby extended their 'hunt' to a very dumb bunny who came in the yard. Rather than an immediate kill - instead they hunted together to move the rabbit first one way and then the other until it had no where to go but stop.
We're always interested to see how people channel their natural skills.
