Here is a heartwarming story from one of the London tabloids. It shows a photo of a Podengo Medio curled up with a newly-born lamb. The owner runs a stables near Newmarket, Cambridgeshire. She breeds a few sheep. Sadly, one of them died after giving birth. The owner tried but failed to persuade another of her sheep to take on the orphan lamb.
Instead, a dog that had been rescued from Spain, has taken over as chief carer. If you look at the photo, I believe that you will recognize a Podenco although the owner has no idea what breed her pet dog is.
