It is a bit late to reply but I have noticed the same thing. We have an end of terrace house in London. It has a window on the staircase. This gives a good view up the road and the sidewalk (pavement).Maria ,a Podengo Medio, likes to sit with her forepaws on a lower step, watching everyone who passes. This is what makes them such good guard dogs. Jet, who is a black Podengo Medio cross, now living in Nuremberg, Germany, was born in the Cape Verdes, where burglars abound. She would not only bark at them when they came near where she was sleeping in the open air, she would follow them circling at high speed, barking all the while. Despite this, the imbecilic Cape Verdean who manages the condo ordered that she should be poisoned for making too much noise, at night. We got her away in the nick of time and burglars had a field day.

Keeping a Podengo Happy
Podengos like a fair amount of stimulus. And, one of the things that we have found is that if she can look out the windows during the day, she is much happier. We have a little window that looks out of the front of the house and she can see every car that goes by, the squirrels in the yard and the birds and such. It may not seem like much to us, but Bella just loves to look out of her little window while we are gone.
